Homemade chicken liver and chestnut mushroom pate. 

Our home made medium coarse pate served with a mixed leaf garnish, homemade red onion marmalade and toasts.  Gf (ask for gluten free bread)

 

Warming spiced parsnip soup. 

Homemade parsnip soup lightly spiced with cumin and coriander.  Served with French bread.  Mf Gf (ask for gluten free bread)

Chargrilled chicken satay. 

 

Chargrilled chicken strips with a satay dressing served on a cucumber and spring onion salad.  Gf Contains peanuts

 

Baked flat mushroom with cheddar, stilton and walnuts. 

A large flat mushroom baked with garlic butter, mature cheddar, stilton and walnuts.  Served on mixed leaves with our own spiced pear chutney.  Mf  Gf  contains walnuts

Pan-seared lambs liver. 

Pan seared lambs liver fried to medium with a rasher of back bacon and red onions served on a bed of mustard mashed potatoes with peas and a rich red wine gravy.  Finished with parsnip crisps.  Gf

 

Yew Tree half pound* burger. 

A prime half pound beef burger made by our butcher and grilled to medium, presented in a wholegrain bun with mature cheddar, grilled bacon, mixed leaves, red onion and gherkins.  Served with chips and burger relish.  (Ask for a gluten free bun) * pre cooked weight and approximate.

 

Butcher’s choice sausages. 

Three prime sausages selected by our butcher served on a bed of mustard mashed potatoes with braised red cabbage and apple.  Finished with a rich red wine gravy.  Quorn sausages available.

 

Breaded whole tail scampi. 

A decent portion of breaded whole tail scampi pieces served with chips, peas, sweet corn, fresh lemon and our homemade Tartare sauce. Made with tails of more than one scampi.

 

Cauliflower and broccoli cheese. 

Florets of cauliflower and broccoli served on a bed of spinach and covered in a creamy mature cheddar cheese sauce before being finished with a sprinkling of paprika and baked in the oven.  Mf  Gf

Grilled pineapple with ginger and lime syrup.

Hazelnut and honey parfait.

A lightly whipped mousse-like ice cream flavoured with honey and topped with caramelised hazelnuts.  Gf
