A proper pub favourite.  A choice of either a large fresh white fish* fillet, battered in our own Masterbrew beer batter and fried until golden or breaded whole tail Scottish scampi.  Served with chips, buttered peas and sweet corn and our home-made chunky Tartare sauce.

Gluten free batter is available for the white fish. *Cod, Haddock or Hake depending on market prices.  We aim to serve boneless, however small bones may remain

 Yew Tree Half Pound Burger.  £10.95

 A mighty prime half pound 100% beef burger made by our butcher, presented in a wholemeal bun with

 mature cheddar, bacon, red onion, mixed leaves and coleslaw.  Served with chips.  We grill our

burgers to medium. If you do not like it cooked this way, please tell a member of staff when ordering.  If the burger is still too rare on arrival, please do not be afraid to ask for us to cook it some more which we will be happy to do.

 

Chicken breast with cranberry, bacon and Brie.  £9.95

A succulent chicken breast grilled before being topped with cranberry sauce, back bacon and melted Brie.  Served with a new potato and radish salad with a wholegrain mustard mayonnaise, coleslaw and dressed mixed leaves with red onion. gf
